Human Rights Policy

Namor Intelligence Inc.
Effective Date: 09th July 2025

1. Purpose and Commitment
At Namor Intelligence Inc., we are building the technological infrastructure and planetary intelligence systems that support ethical, life-centered decisions in a world under environmental stress. This mission carries deep responsibility. We are committed to upholding and promoting human rights across our operations, collaborations, technologies, and the ecosystems we serve.

This Human Rights Policy outlines how we integrate respect for human dignity, civil liberties, labor standards, and environmental justice into the core of our work. It reflects our belief that innovation must help secure a livable and thriving planet, while also advancing equity, inclusion, and the well-being of all communities,  present and future.

2. Guiding Standards
Namor aligns with internationally recognized human rights frameworks, including:
·       The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
·       The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs)
·       The International Labour Organization (ILO) Core Conventions
·       The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises
·       The principle of Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) for Indigenous and local communities

These standards shape our approach to governance, partnerships, technology use, and our role in shaping a just and livable future.

3. Areas of Focus
a. Labor Rights and Working Conditions
We are committed to:

  • Prohibiting all forms of forced labor, child labor, human trafficking, and modern slavery
  • Ensuring safe, fair, and dignified working conditions for our employees and contractors
  • Supporting freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining where applicable

b. Non-Discrimination and Inclusion
We uphold a zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination based on race, gender, identity, religion, nationality, disability, or any protected category. We promote equity in hiring, participation, and leadership.

c. Privacy, Digital Rights, and Ethical Technology
Namor recognizes its responsibility as a developer of data-centric systems. We commit to:

  • Respecting the right to privacy and protecting data rights
  • Implementing principles of privacy by design in our tools
  • Ensuring transparency, consent, and accountability in how our technology is used
  • Avoiding algorithmic bias and misuse, especially in high-impact ecological or community decisions

d. Environmental and Indigenous Rights
Our mission operates at the intersection of climate, ecosystems, and social structures. We:

  • Respect the rights and sovereignty of Indigenous Peoples
  • Acknowledge and value traditional knowledge in planetary intelligence
  • Require free, prior and informed consent (FPIC) where applicable
  • Strive to ensure our technologies support, not displace, local agency and stewardship

e. Freedom of Expression and Democratic Participation
We uphold the universal right to freedom of expression and the importance of open dialogue in science, governance, and society. Namor supports democratic participation, civil discourse, and transparent decision-making as essential conditions for ethical planetary intelligence. We recognize that diverse perspectives, especially those historically marginalized, are critical to just and informed action.

4. Partners and Ethics Expectations
We recognize that the responsibility to respect human rights extends to our partners, suppliers, and clients. As such:

  • Namor will evaluate prospective partners and clients for alignment with our ethical and human rights standards.
  • We will refrain from engagement where potential harm to communities, ecosystems, or data sovereignty is identified.
  • We expect all collaborators to respect human rights and act with transparency and integrity.

Namor may disengage from any collaboration if credible evidence emerges of adverse impacts or ethical breaches.

5. Internal Governance and Culture

  • We promote a culture of openness, ethics, and accountability.
  • Team members are encouraged to raise concerns about ethical or human rights issues without fear of retaliation.
  • We maintain internal procedures for anonymous reporting and resolution of concerns.

Ethical onboarding and annual training will cover:

  • Privacy and data rights
  • Responsible AI and ecological data use
  • Cultural sensitivity and community engagement

6. Transparency, Review and Engagement
Namor will:

  • Review this policy annually or as operations expand
  • Update our practices in line with evolving standards and stakeholder feedback
  • Engage with civil society, Indigenous leaders, and research institutions to strengthen our approach

We commit to making this policy public and actionable as part of our broader ESG and governance framework.

Conclusion
Namor’s mission is rooted in care for Earth and all who depend on it. Upholding human rights is not only our responsibility, but also a condition for true planetary intelligence.
At Namor, we believe intelligence must serve not only people, but the living systems of Earth. As a planetary intelligence system, Namor is guided by a broader ethical compass, one that recognizes the intrinsic value of nature, the rights of present and future generations, and the need to act in service of planetary continuity.

We commit to:

  • Human dignity and rights: Upholding fundamental human rights, privacy, and non-discrimination in all uses of our technology.
  • Integrity of the living Earth: Recognizing ecosystems, species, and natural systems as entities with inherent value, not just instrumental utility.
  • Non-extractive intelligence: Designing and deploying AI systems that do not exploit or degrade planetary systems, but instead support regeneration, protection, and repair.
  • Transparency and accountability: Ensuring decisions made with or by Namor are traceable, auditable, and guided by scientific and ethical oversight.
  • Multi-scale justice: Considering the voices and impacts on marginalized communities, Indigenous knowledge systems, and life forms beyond the human.
  • Planet-first governance: Ensuring that all sensing, modeling, or technology we deploy respects ecological thresholds and causes no harm to natural systems.
  • Ethics by design: Embedding principles of ecological ethics into all contracts, deployments, and partnerships.

We believe that true intelligence, human or artificial, must be rooted in responsibility to the whole Earth system. Namor is our contribution to that future.

We view this charter as a living framework. As Namor advances, we will continue to build mechanisms of ethical oversight, community consultation, and ecological accountability. Have questions or reflections? We’d love to hear from you: info@namor.earth
